Straight answers on sizing, customisation, timelines, shipping, and returns — so you can order with confidence.

Sizing & Fit
How does made-to-measure work?
Every Kartex suit is cut to your body, not pulled from a rack. When you order, we'll send you a simple measure sheet with six key points: chest, waist, hips, height, inseam, and arm length. You can take them at home with a tape measure in under 5 minutes — no tailor needed. We grade the pattern from those numbers so the suit fits close and comfortable, with room for a base layer.
What if I don't have a tape measure or I'm unsure?
No problem. Message us your standard clothing size (jacket + trouser) and height/weight, and we'll cross-reference against our grading database and advise on the right size for you.
Can I request adjustments after I receive it?
If the fit isn't right, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we'll work with you to put it right. This applies to both replica and custom suits.
Should I size up for base layers?
No need. We build in a base-layer allowance during grading. Just take your measurements wearing light underwear or a thin tee, exactly as you'll wear it on track.
Customization
Can I add my name, number, flag, and sponsor logos?
Yes — personalisation is included on every suit. You can add driver name, race number, country flag, blood group, and sponsor logos on the chest, arms, and legs. On the replica page you enter these at checkout; for custom suits we collect them during the design phase.
What's the difference between sublimated and embroidered finishes?
Sublimation fuses the graphic into the fabric at high heat — colours stay vivid and won't peel, crack, or fade over a season of use. Embroidery is stitched thread, giving a premium tactile feel and a classic motorsport look. Both are race-proven; sublimation is standard, embroidery is available on request.
Can you design a suit from scratch?
Absolutely. Our custom-suit design service is free. Send us your team colours, helmet reference, moodboard, or existing livery and we'll create digital mockups. We iterate until you're happy — no obligation until you approve the final design.
Are your suits homologated for competition?
Replica suits are not homologated — they're made for fans, events, and non-sanctioned driving. Custom suits can be built to CIK-FIA Level 2 homologation on request — mention it in your inquiry and we'll confirm the spec and price before you commit.
Do you do full team kits?
Yes — matching suits for the whole grid, plus gloves, shoes, and balaclavas in the same livery. Team orders get better per-driver pricing and a single point of contact for sizing and artwork.
Production Time
How long until my replica suit is ready?
Replica suits are made and dispatched within 7 business days of order confirmation. Personalisation is included in that window.
How long for a fully custom suit?
Custom suits are completed within a maximum of 4 weeks from the moment you approve the final design. Most are ready sooner. If you have a hard deadline (race date, test day), tell us upfront and we'll confirm feasibility before you pay.
Will you keep me updated during production?
Yes. You'll receive an order confirmation email and a tracking email once your suit ships. You're welcome to message us anytime with your order number for a status update.
Shipping
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes — we ship worldwide via tracked courier. Most major regions (Europe, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, UAE, Singapore) receive tracking within 3–7 business days after dispatch. Remote regions may take a few days longer.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your destination — you'll see the exact rate before paying, with no hidden fees.
Will I pay customs duties or taxes?
For orders outside the EU, your local customs authority may charge import duties or VAT. These are not included in our shipping fee and are the buyer's responsibility. We mark shipments as "racewear / protective clothing" with accurate values to keep customs processing smooth.
How do I track my order?
As soon as your suit ships, you'll receive an email with a tracking link from our express courier with full tracking. You can also message us anytime with your order number for a status update.
Returns & Guarantee
What if the fit isn't right?
If your suit doesn't fit correctly, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we'll work with you to put it right. This applies to both replica and custom suits.
Can I return a replica suit if I change my mind?
Unworn, unwashed off-the-shelf items with tags attached can be returned within 14 days for a full refund or size exchange. Personalised replica suits (name/number added) are non-returnable unless there is a manufacturing defect — contact us within 14 days of delivery if that's the case.
Can I return a custom suit?
Custom and personalised suits are made to your measurements and approved design, so they're non-returnable for a change of mind — manufacturing defects excepted (contact us within 14 days of delivery). If the fit is off, contact us within 14 days and we'll work with you to put it right.
Payment & Care
What payment methods do you accept?
Payments are processed securely through Shopify checkout. We accept all major credit and debit cards, plus the express wallets shown at checkout.
How do I care for my suit?
Hand wash or gentle machine cycle in cold water. Use mild detergent — no bleach, no fabric softener, no tumble dry. Hang dry out of direct sunlight. The prints and stitching are race-proven durable, but gentle care keeps the colours crisp season after season.
Is my payment and data secure?
Yes. Payments are processed through Shopify's PCI-compliant checkout — we never see or store your card details. Your personal data is only used for production and shipping, never sold or shared.
